Summary Job Description

The Cut and Sew Superintendent will be responsible for the daily operations of a Cutting and a Sewing Department.

• Manage all aspects of Cut and Sew departments with the assistance of managers
• Maintain quality control standards, safety standards, and labor efficiencies
• Work closely with the upholstery floor to resolve any quality or production issues
• Identify and address fabric and leather issues working through our Purchasing Department
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 5 years+ as a Cut and Sew Superintendent in an upholstered furniture factory
• Ability to work with all levels of the company
• Excel, Word, and SAP skills are required
• Technical knowledge of cutting and sewing operations
• Knowledge of Fabric and Leather standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques

• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull, and bend over the course of 9 hours
• Must be able to work in noisy environments
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 10 lbs.; on occasion up to 25 lbs.
