Overview
Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care unit within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As a Progressive Care RN, you will provide high-acuity, step-down level care to medically complex and post-ICU patients who require close monitoring, advanced assessments, and timely interventions. In this role, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms, administer medications and therapies, and collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and the broader interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
You will monitor patients for subtle changes in condition, respond quickly to emergencies, and utilize evidence-based practices to promote safety, quality, and optimal patient outcomes. You will educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans, supporting them through transitions of care with compassion and clarity.
