Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and clinically strong RN Vent Unit Manager to lead our specialized Ventilator Unit.

The RN Vent Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of the Ventilator Unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, supporting nursing staff, and promoting excellent resident outcomes.
This role works closely with the DON, ADON, physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality care to residents with complex respiratory needs.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee clinical operations of the Ventilator Unit
- Supervise and support nursing staff
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team
- Assist the DON/ADON with daily nursing operations
- Participate in an on-call rotation with other nurse managers
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Ensure resident care plans are developed and followed
- Conduct physician rounds as needed
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
- Ensure adequate supplies, medications, and equipment are available
- Complete documentation, incident reports, and evaluations
- Lead staff meetings and assign daily responsibilities
- Current, active, and unencumbered RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing supervisory experience
- Ventilator and respiratory care experience required
- Long-term care or sub-acute rehabilitation experience preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure
- Experience with Point Click Care is a plus
- $12,000 Sign-On Bonus
