As a Nursing Extern, you will become an integral part of our nursing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while exploring the comprehensive role of a Registered Nurse. You'll provide safe, compassionate care that enhances patients' lives while acquiring the skills and confidence needed for future responsibilities in your nursing journey.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver essential patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), checking vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring comfort and hygiene.
• Perform nursing procedures including wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and other basic tasks as your skills develop.
• Document care effectively and communicate timely updates with the nursing team for seamless patient care.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, offering guidance for their health and recovery.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient areas by following infection prevention practices and managing equipment.
• Advance your growth and enhance patient care by participating in learning opportunities and collaborating with your supervisor or preceptor to formulate a personal career development plan.

Qualifications:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 30 days of your start date.
• Must have Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
