As a Nurse Extern, you will play a vital role in the nursing team, gaining hands‑on experience in delivering compassionate care that improves patients' lives. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing essential care for patients, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), monitoring vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort and hygiene.
• Performing nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection as you advance your skills.
• Documenting patient care accurately and communicating updates to ensure seamless coordination of care.
• Helping patients and families understand their care plans and offering guidance for health and recovery.
• Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment by adhering to infection prevention practices and managing equipment.
• Engaging in learning opportunities and collaborating with your supervisor or preceptor to enhance your skills and career development.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Current enrollment and good standing in an accredited nursing program.
• NC Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
