As a Nurse Extern, you will play a crucial role within our nursing team, gaining hands‑on experience while exploring the Registered Nurse role. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering vital patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), monitoring vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Performing essential nursing tasks, including wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection, as you gain competence and confidence.
• Documenting patient care accurately and maintaining effective communication with the nursing team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Guiding patients and families in understanding their care plans and supporting their recovery journey.
• Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment by adhering to infection prevention protocols and managing equipment.
• Engaging in learning opportunities to enhance your skills and partnering with your supervisor to develop your personal career growth plan.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited nursing program.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in North Carolina.
