As a Nurse Extern, you'll play a vital role in our nursing team by gaining hands‑on experience in the Registered Nurse role. Your focus will be centered on delivering compassionate, safe care that enhances the patient experience while building your clinical skills and confidence.

• Assisting patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), monitoring vital signs, supporting mobility, and promoting comfort and hygiene.
• Performing nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection as you advance your skills.
• Accurately documenting patient care and communicating essential updates to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Educating patients and families about care plans and guiding them towards better health and recovery.
• Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment by following infection prevention protocols and keeping organized.
• Engaging in opportunities for personal and professional development, collaborating with your supervisor to create a tailored career growth plan.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 30 days of starting.
• Current enrollment in a nursing program that is accredited under 21 NCAC 36.0302(b)(1).
• Must hold an NC Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
