Overview

Cardiovascular Operating Room Circulator Nurse position available at Mission Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare. Eligible for a sign‑on bonus with a two‑year commitment.

Schedule:

6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Mission Hospital is located in Asheville, North Carolina.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients pre‑surgery.
  • Provide patient and family education on procedures and the peri‑operative process.
  • Prepare patients, including administering IV therapy, preoperative medications, and verifying surgical sites.
  • Conduct surgical site verifications, following hospital policies for briefing, time‑out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
  • Recognize and respond effectively to patient emergencies.
  • Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care while embracing evidence‑based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including providers, surgeons, and surgical technologists.
  • Consistently apply nursing processes and critical thinking to deliver safe nursing care independently.
  • Monitor patient conditions and document changes accurately.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
Qualifications
  • Required Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing and/or CVOR/OR experience.
  • Preferred Experience: Background in cardiac or critical care nursing.
  • Required

    Education:

    Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program, obtaining BSN within 5 years of hire date. RNs with 10+ years of experience are exempt.
  • Preferred Education: Master's in Nursing.
  • Required

    Certifications:

    Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing, BLS, and ACLS.
