Job Summary and QualificationsShift: 11am-11:30pm
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
Qualifications- Required Experience:
One year of RN and/or applicable nursing experience - Preferred Experience:
PACU or Charge Nurse experience - Required
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtaining a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions or extensions may be approved by the facility CNO and reported to the CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions should this information be needed.
RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt. - Preferred Education:
Master’s Degree in Nursing - Required License:
Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensee should confirm with NCBON. - Required
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH
