Registered Nurse Trauma Spine Med Surg

This position is eligible for a sign‑on bonus with a two‑year commitment to Mission Health. The bonus is available only to new hires; prior employees must be separated from Mission for at least six months to be re‑eligible.

As a Registered Nurse in Trauma Spine Med Surg, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with department requirements and state/specialty standards. Working with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care following nursing models such as ‘Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.’ You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient’s medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate patient needs, and resolve them to enhance patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

• Bachelor’s degree and Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Minimum one year of experience in a clinical setting.
• No travel required.
