Licensed Practical Nurse Irt - Full-time
Provides nursing care and makes nursing care decisions that are appropriate to the age of the patients served, incorporating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Collaborates with other health care professionals to meet the needs of the patient. Responsible for adhering to CVMC/departmental policies, procedures and philosophy to deliver quality patient care, practicing within the guidelines of the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act and abiding by the CVMC Nursing Bylaws.
Education and Credentials
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Current NC Licensed Practical Nurse
- BCLS certification. If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within three months of employment date.
Additional Requirements:
The IRT Licensed Practical Nurse will float to the assigned units and take an independent assignment or be assigned to other duties per scope of practice.

- Clinical Observation/Stroke Units
- Psychiatry
Work Experience:
No previous experience required.
Preferred:
One year hospital experience working in inpatient areas.
