Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

Our affiliate, Unified Women's Healthcare of the Carolinas, is looking for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join their prestigious Women's Health Care Center in Hickory, NC. Position Highlights:

• Join an established and successful practice that has served the Hickory area for over 50 years.
• 1 state of the art office location in Hickory conveniently located very close to the Catawba Valley Medical Center.
• The practice team consists of 7 OB/GYN physicians, 1 gynecologist, 5 nurse practitioners, 4 certified nurse midwives, 1 physician assistant, and a great administrative support team.
• 4.5 days per week work schedule with no nights, weekends, call, or hospital shifts.
• Practice is open to potentially different schedule structures to meet individual needs.
• Duties include seeing patients, completing charting, answering patient phone calls, patient education, sending prescriptions electronically or by phone, and administering medication among other patient care duties.
• Patient Census in Clinic: up to 20-25 per day.
• Will perform and assist with some minimally invasive procedures that can be completed in the office, such as pap smears, endometrial biopsies, and IUD placements.

Requirements:

• National Nurse Practitioner certification or ability to obtain
• Unrestricted, active licensure in the State or ability to obtain
• Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
• CPR and BLS Certification or ability to obtain
• Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
• Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff
• Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
• One year of full-time experience as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner is preferred
