Job Title
Summary of Performance Expectations. Works in collaboration with the hospitalist physician providing direct clinical services for acutely ill adult patients (18 years and older). Performs history, physical examinations, diagnoses, and prescribe therapeutic treatment regimens as indicated. Interprets results and therapeutic responses to treatments.
Education and CredentialsRequired Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program and accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. American Nurses Credentialing Center Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners certification as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner. BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), for healthcare providers.
ACLS for healthcare providers, from the American Heart Association, within twelve months of employment. Preferred
Work Experience:
Required Five years experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
