Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN - FryeCare Generations

As supervised by a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

• Collaborate with an RN to assess patients by collecting data for analysis.
• Establish and maintain efficient methods for ensuring the medical necessity and appropriateness of all hospital admissions while obtaining precertifications.
• Perform admission and concurrent precerts to ensure that the claim has an authorization number and prevent denials.
• Communicate effectively with payors, staff, and referral sources.
• Maintain proper telephone etiquette with referral sources.
• Manage patients under RN case manager supervision.
• Evaluate patient status to confirm medical necessity for appropriate reimbursement.
• Review clinical charts for precertification information.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current LPN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Full‑time, days – Monday through Friday.
