Registered Nurse ICU Staffing Pool

Overview

As a Registered Nurse ICU Staffing Pool, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager and through formal opportunities such as hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You will help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

• Provide leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients.
• Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Implement medically prescribed interventions.

• Required
  
  Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with a plan to obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions or extensions may be approved by the facility CNO and reported to the CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions.
  
  RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt.

  Masters in Nursing.

  Licenses/Certifications:
  
  Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC license may apply; licensee should confirm with NCBON. BLS Healthcare Provider required.

  National Certification in area of specialty.
• Required Experience:
  
  One-year hospital nursing experience.
