Job Type: Full-time | 12‑Hour Shifts | Night Shift
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide care on a 17‑bed nephrology/oncology unit, supporting adult medical‑surgical patients with a strong focus on nephrology and cancer care. The role offers self‑scheduling, 12‑hour shifts, and an every‑other weekend rotation to promote flexibility and work‑life balance.

- Under the direction of an RN, assists in patient assessment by collecting data.
- Performs plan‑of‑care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
- May administer medication.
- Documents patient care activity.
- Assists RN with development of plan of care.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
- Current LPN license in the state of North Carolina
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
