Registered Nurse – CVICU (Travel Contract)

Hickory, NC | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed CVICU with a 2:1 patient ratio (occasional 1:1) serving an adult and geriatric population
• Manage and monitor patients with complex cardiovascular diagnoses including CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures
• Operate and manage advanced equipment including Impella, IABP, and CRRT
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EHR
• Float per scheduled rotation as needed to meet unit staffing requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active RN license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1.5 years of CVICU experience (post-orientation)
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid patient populations
• Strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced critical care environment

• Work at a Level 3 Trauma facility with a dedicated Heart Center and a broad range of specialty services including a Brain Center, Cancer Center, and Level 3 NICU
• No on-call requirements with a guaranteed 36-hour work week providing schedule stability throughout your 13-week assignment
