American Traveler is hiring a night-shift RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring CVICU experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

• CVICU unit within a Level 3 trauma hospital
• 8-bed unit with adult/geriatric patient population
• Common diagnoses include CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures
• Patient ratios typically 2:1 with occasional 1:1
• Equipment used includes Impella, IABP, and CRRT
• Documents in Cerner EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required, or as needed to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floats per scheduled rotation

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (CCRN preferred)
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of CVICU experience required (post-orientation)
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Strong critical thinking skills required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Deliver critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients including post-surgical and interventional cardiac cases
• Work within a Duke Lifepoint hospital offering specialized centers for brain, cancer, heart, and lung care
• Must start on one of the facility's designated orientation dates
• Scrubs of any professional color are acceptable
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Local candidates accepted, though those living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for the travel rate
