American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications and a minimum of 2 years of ER experience.
Details- General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7p-7a
- Option to flex to 4x12 shifts if needed or available
- Minimum requirement of every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required
- Candidates will float within the hospital
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Active RN license, NC or compact, required
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all via AHA)
- CPI/CIC certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required, 3 years preferred
- Meditech charting experience preferred but not required
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
- Experience starting and maintaining IVs
- Experience with neurological and CVA patient care
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE, triage, medication administration, and IV vasopressors
- Two professional references required
- Copy of certifications preferred
- Completion of lab work within 72 hours of signing contract required
- Provide emergency nursing care across a combined adult and pediatric patient population
- Manage patients requiring cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Administer medications and IV vasopressors as needed
- Local candidates accepted with no change to bill rate
- First-time travelers will be considered if they have 3+ years of ER experience
- Facility does not allow current or past staff to return as a traveler at any time
- Travelers may obtain CPI certification on assignment if staying longer than 3 months
