Compensation
The starting pay range for this position per hour is $20.00 – $22.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $20.00 – $34.00. Pay is based on factors such as labor market, education, work experience and certifications.

Job OverviewAs a Service and Engagement Team Leader at Target, you will lead a team of hourly staff to deliver guest experience commitments, focus on guest service fundamentals, enhance loyalty programs, drive sales, and ensure smooth daily operations. You will plan department workload, support target sales goals, develop and coach team members, and maintain a safe and inclusive environment. The position requires a flexible, variable work schedule with nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak times.
Responsibilities- Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience.
- Ensure team members understand, are trained, and consistently deliver Target’s guest experience commitments.
- Observe team performance, provide feedback, hold members accountable, and recognize great guest experience moments.
- Review guest, financial and team outcome metrics, identify opportunities, take action and align the team to achieve desired behaviors and execution.
- Lead a team of Guest Advocates, Service Advocates and Front of Store Attendants to exceed guest service expectations.
- Support the execution of sales goals, business reporting and guest insights to plan and execute daily and weekly workload.
- Help team educate and promote Target loyalty programs.
- Support continuous education opportunities for front of store experiences.
- Recognize and appreciate team members to reinforce critical guest service behaviors.
- Maintain a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management.
- Resolve guest concerns and address issues promptly.
- Ensure team members stay up-to-date on major promotions, brand launches and events.
- Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
- Support pick up and drive up orders efficiently and accurately, following all applicable laws.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, compliance and safety culture.
- Model physical security processes and support merchandise protection strategies.
- Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty responsibilities.
- Other duties as required by business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Previous retail experience preferred, not required.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
- Work independently and with a team, managing workload and prioritizing tasks.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
- Effective communication skills.
- Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment.
- Work safely by responding to guest or team member issues, interpreting instructions, handling cash operations, scanning merchandise, climbing ladders, performing lift tasks up to 44 lbs without assistance.
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, closing shifts and peak times.
- Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity and other environmental conditions.
