Training Store Manager

Position Summary:

The Training/Convenience Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a convenience store, ensuring high levels of customer service, maintaining inventory, managing staff, and meeting sales goals. This position requires a strong leader who can motivate team members, maintain store standards, and drive profitability while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Staff Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise store personnel.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and training.

Schedule staff and manage labor costs to ensure optimal coverage.

Customer Service:

Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service.

Handle customer complaints and inquiries promptly and efficiently.

Train staff to maintain high customer service standards.

Sales and Financial Management:

Monitor daily sales and develop strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Analyze financial reports and metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Manage store budgets, control expenses, and optimize profitability.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.

Conduct regular inventory audits and coordinate with suppliers for ordering and receiving products.

Minimize shrinkage through effective inventory control measures.

Store Operations:

Ensure the store complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including products and signage.

Implement marketing and promotional strategies to enhance sales.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and submit reports on sales, expenses, and operational issues to upper management.

Accurately manage cash handling and financial transactions.

Community Engagement:

Build and maintain positive relationships with the community.

Participate in local events and promotions to enhance store visibility.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.

Previous experience as a manager in a retail management or a convenience store setting is required

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Availability to work a variety of shifts as needed.
