Role OverviewStep into the role of Customer Sales Associate and become the trusted advisor that our customers rely on when they visit our Trane Supply stores. Your expertise and knowledge will be invaluable as you assist customers with their various needs, from resolving parts or equipment issues to delivering high‑quality parts and solutions in a timely manner. To excel in this role, you will need a solid understanding of our product offerings, consistently achieve sales goals, and possess exceptional problem‑solving skills.
You will also take ownership of the order management process to ensure smooth transactions and customer satisfaction.
- Provide customer support and find the best method to resolve problems to ensure satisfaction.
- Partner with customers to grow sales by identifying related products or add‑on extensions.
- Process customer orders and respond to inquiries, questions or complaints regarding Parts and Supply offerings, offering solutions to ensure future sales.
- Maintain current knowledge of Trane products, offerings, and promotions to deliver a premier customer experience and drive sales.
- Interact with customers on the phone and in person.
- Execute quote and order management processes with a high level of accuracy to expedite fulfillment and ensure timely delivery—entering quotes and invoices and following through on fulfillment.
- Assist with warehouse/inventory management work as needed.
- Maintain flexibility to work overtime or weekends, as required.
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Inside sales, retail, or related experience.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment with a focus on customer service, continuous improvement, and safety.
- Proven experience in building customer relationships and maintaining professional service even in challenging situations.
Annual Base Salary Range: $37,700.00 – $76,194.99. Compensation is based on seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation. The position is hourly with incentive eligibility.
