We’re thrilled to share an exciting opportunity for a Business & Technology Development Manager to spearhead strategic growth initiatives in the fiber‑optics and data‑center market. In this role, you’ll build and nurture valuable relationships with customers and partners, drive new business opportunities, and shape the roadmap for high‑performance fiber‑optic products that will power the next generation of network infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with data‑center operators, system vendors, and transceiver manufacturers.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer technology roadmaps to uncover new product‑development opportunities.
- Drive strategic account plans and launch innovative fiber‑optic connectivity solutions.
- Act as a consultative partner by presenting tailored technical and commercial proposals.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to define clear product requirements.
- Manage multiple technology and application development programs from kickoff to delivery.
- Represent US Conec at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical forums.
- Analyze market trends and provide actionable insights to inform innovation and business strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering preferred).
- Proven success in business development or strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of optical communications and the data‑center ecosystem.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business opportunities.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship‑management skills.
- Solid project‑management, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently (25% or more).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Hands‑on experience with fiber‑optic cabling, connectors, and related hardware.
- Familiarity with data‑center infrastructure design and deployment.
- Understanding of network architectures, including optical switching and interconnect technologies.
