Role DescriptionThe Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based in Hickory, NC. This role is responsible for performing routine and non-routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on airframes, powerplants, and related aircraft systems, with a focus on Citation and King Air models. The mechanic will interpret technical manuals and service bulletins, document work performed, and ensure all maintenance activities meet regulatory and company standards for safety and airworthiness.
Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with maintenance leadership, identifying required parts and materials, and supporting continuous improvement of maintenance processes and service quality.
- Strong knowledge of power plant systems and components, with practical experience in Power Plant maintenance and repair.
- Demonstrated experience in Aircraft Maintenance, including scheduled and unscheduled inspections, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
- Understanding of Aircraft Systems such as hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and environmental systems, and ability to diagnose and resolve system issues.
- Knowledge of Airworthiness standards and regulations, and ability to ensure aircraft remain compliant with all applicable requirements.
- Hands‑on experience working with Aircraft structures and assemblies, including airframe repairs and modifications.
- Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, maintenance manuals, and regulatory guidance.
- Strong attention to detail, safety‑focused mindset, and ability to work effectively in a hangar environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with pilots, maintenance staff, and management.
- Previous experience with Citation and King Air aircraft is preferred but not required.
