As part of our continued growth under the One Norlee platform, we are seeking a Electrician within our Specialty Projects Division.

Position Summary

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in industrial and commercial environments. This role requires hands-on industrial electrical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to perform work safely and efficiently while meeting project schedules, quality standards, and applicable electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Install and terminate conduit, wiring, cable tray, panels, switch gear, transformers, motor controls, and other electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot motors, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, control circuits, and industrial power-distribution systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, and equipment manuals.
  • Perform electrical testing using meters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Identify electrical issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Complete installations and repairs in accordance with the National Electrical Code, project specifications, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Coordinate work with supervisors, project managers, other trades, and customer representatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, materials used, and identified issues.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Follow all company, customer, OSHA, lockout/tagout, and jobsite safety requirements.
  • Assist with material planning and communicate potential schedule, equipment, or manpower concerns to supervision.
  • Provide guidance and support to apprentices or less-experienced electricians when assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support project and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of electrical experience, including direct experience in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with industrial electrical installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and standard electrical safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience working with three-phase power, motors, motor controls, transformers, switch gear, and industrial distribution systems.
  • Ability to bend and install conduit and safely use electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass all required pre-employment and customer-mandated screenings.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, alternate shifts, or travel to project locations when required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent state or local certification.
  • Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience with PLCs, instrumentation, automation systems, variable frequency drives, and control wiring.
  • Experience in manufacturing, processing, utility, water/wastewater, distribution, or other industrial facilities.
  • Experience working in active facilities where production continuity and customer coordination are critical.
