If you're passionate about helping individuals and families achieve financial independence, enjoy building community partnerships, and thrive in a role that combines case management with program coordination, we'd love to hear from you!

As the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Coordinator, you'll empower families participating in the Housing Choice Voucher Program to achieve their personal, educational, and employment goals. You'll provide coaching, connect participants with community resources, and coordinate a federally funded program designed to help families move toward long-term self-sufficiency.

Example of Duties

  • Conduct outreach and promote the program to eligible Housing Choice Voucher families.
  • Develop individualized goal plans with participants and provide ongoing coaching and case management.
  • Connect families with employment, education, financial literacy, counseling, and other supportive services.
  • Monitor participant progress through regular meetings and follow-up.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local employers, educational institutions, and community service agencies.
  • Coordinate escrow account reporting and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with HUD regulations, WPCOG policies, and the FSS Action Plan.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate program records.
  • Complete required HUD FSS Coordinator training and certification.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.
  • Some case management experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
