Accounting and Tax Intern

At Salvatore Albanese & Company LLC, internships offer hands-on experience and a chance to work on challenging projects. Interns will work with Staff Accountants and Senior Accountants on various client engagements to learn tax preparation and various other administrative and clerical responsibilities.

The candidate(s) should be available at least 20-30 hours a week.

Please note this is not a remote Internship and not just for the fall. We expect all of our interns to continue throughout busy season, grow within the firm and eventually become full time. Pay will be hourly rate anywhere between $18-21 per hour

Our ideal candidate will have the following requirements/skills:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with individual and corporate income tax preparation preferred
• Experience with Quick Books preferred
• Experience with Prosystems Fx tax preparation software preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on-site in Hicksville, NY, manage multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
