Senior Infrastructure Engineer

The Senior Project Engineer is a trusted technical authority responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering complex infrastructure, cloud, networking, virtualization, automation, and security solutions across multiple client environments. This role owns technical execution from discovery through delivery and serves as a senior escalation point for advanced engineering challenges.

This position is designed for experienced MSP engineers who are comfortable owning outcomes, making architectural decisions, and being accountable for solution quality, not just task completion. Strong, hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Nerdio, VMware vSphere, Dell VxRail, Omnissa Horizon, enterprise networking, and MSP toolsets is essential.

Candidates must be comfortable working independently in complex environments and making architectural decisions.

• 7+ years of experience in a Managed Services Provider or multi‑client environment
• Strong, hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) in production environments
• Hands‑on experience using Nerdio to manage, optimize, and scale AVD environments
• Strong experience with VMware vSphere, including cluster design and vSAN
• Hands‑on experience deploying and supporting Dell Vx Rail
• Experience with Omnissa Horizon (VMware Horizon) in enterprise environments
• Deep understanding of firewall and switch networking, including VLANs, routing, VPNs, SD‑WAN, and traffic flow
• Proven experience designing and managing Meraki and Sophos environments
• Strong experience with Connect Wise Manage, Connect Wise Automate, and Datto RMM
• Scripting experience, primarily Power Shell, for automation and remediation
• Advanced expertise with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and authentication troubleshooting
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra , Intune, and Conditional Access
• Ability to lead technical projects end‑to‑end, not just execute assigned tasks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non‑technical audiences

This role requires engineers who design and build environments, automate intelligently, and understand operational impact. Candidates whose experience is limited to maintaining inherited systems without owning architecture, automation, or design decisions will not be successful in this role.
