Behavioral Health Technician

Job Definition

The Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct service and support as part of a multi-disciplinary team working within a 24-hour, 7 day a week, 365 crisis stabilization program assessing Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Six months of related experience required; experience in an acute, psychiatric setting preferred.

• Greet and engage with incoming clients.
• Assist clients around the ICSC including directing them to the locker rooms, assisting with and laundry.
• Help clients participate in recreational activities.
• Provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by assisting in cleanup after client s treatment rooms and recreational areas.
• Ensure the health and safety of staff and clients in emergency situations.
• Assess situations to determine importance, urgency/risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
• Facilitate sharing of data with the individuals to whom it applies to facilitate partnered decision-making and to keep clients informed of progress.
• Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed.

• Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following established safety guidelines.
