Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior NOC/SOC Analyst to join our operations team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity who is eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. The Analyst will provide first-line monitoring and support for network performance and security events, escalating issues as needed to senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations (NOC):

  • Monitor network, server, and system health using monitoring tools.

  • Identify and elevate performance issues, outages, or service interruptions.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and document findings in the ticketing system.

  • Assist with scheduled maintenance and routine operational checks.

Security Operations (SOC):

  • Monitor SIEM dashboards and security alerts.

  • Conduct initial analysis of suspicious activity and elevate confirmed incidents.

  • Assist with vulnerability scanning and reporting.

  • Follow documented playbooks for common security events.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or coursework in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addresses, firewalls, VPNs, DNS).

  • Familiarity with common cybersecurity threats (phishing, malware, brute force attacks).

  • Knowledge of or exposure to monitoring tools or SIEM platforms a plus.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have)
  • CompTIA A+ or ITF+

  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+

  • Any relevant vendor certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)
