The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily outbound shipping operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of domestic and international orders. This role manages specialized outbound activity—including samples, product development, Canadian shipments, and backhaul coordination—while supporting warehouse efficiency and providing hands‑on leadership within the shipping department.
Key Responsibilities Shipping & Outbound Operations- Oversee and participate in the packing and processing of outbound orders, including scanning, labeling, and shipment verification.
- Ship all Hawaii sample orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support outbound shipments related to product development initiatives.
- Process and manage all outbound shipments to Duffy, including required documentation.
- Create and manage all LPNs for outbound shipping activity.
- Complete Bills of Lading as requested by management.
- Track, trace, and update shipment statuses to ensure on-time delivery and issue resolution.
- Ensure all international shipments comply with customs rules and regulations.
- Oversee all Canadian order shipments received from BH (Lanco).
- Coordinate Canadian shipments to ensure proper documentation, carrier alignment, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate carrier pickups and confirm ETAs for outbound shipments.
- Manage inbound backhaul activity from Lanco.
- Maintain and update the backhaul tracker in real time to ensure shipment visibility and accuracy.
- Provide daily guidance and hands‑on support to shipping staff to ensure productivity, accuracy, and compliance.
- Assist in training team members on shipping procedures, systems, and safety standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve shipping workflows, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse leadership and cross‑functional teams regarding shipment status and issues.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, packing, and processing packages in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with domestic and international shipping, including customs compliance.
- Proficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Working knowledge of UPS and Fed Ex World Ship systems.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
