CNC Machinist
We are seeking a detail‑oriented CNC Machinist to operate and maintain CNC milling and turning equipment in support of aerospace component production. This role is responsible for producing high‑precision parts that meet strict aerospace standards, working from complex blueprints and CAD/CAM programs. The ideal candidate has machining experience, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
Salary: $58,240 - $76,960 per year.
Shift: First.
Work hours:
8 AM - 5 PM.
Education:
High School.
- Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC Swiss Turn machines to produce complex precision parts from bar stock according to engineering drawings.
- Tooling & Synchronization: Select, preset, and install specialized tooling, guide bushings, and collets. Synchronize main and sub‑spindles for efficient part hand‑off.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret technical blueprints to determine machining sequences, tool paths, and bar feeder parameters.
- Complex Machining: Perform multi‑axis operations including simultaneous turning, cross‑drilling, milling, and threading using live‑tooling attachments.
- Process Monitoring: Monitor machine performance and thermal stability during long production runs, adjusting offsets to maintain lights‑out accuracy.
- Quality Inspection: Inspect miniature and high‑precision finished parts using specialized instruments (comparators, micrometers, vision systems) to ensure adherence to tight tolerances.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to chip control, tool deflection, material vibration, and machine alarms.
- Collaboration: Work with the programming and engineering teams to optimize cycle times and improve Swiss‑style processing efficiency.
