CNC Machinist, Machine Operator, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
JSG is recruiting for a CNC Mill Machinist who will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC milling machines to produce complex, precision components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vertical and horizontal CNC mills, and a strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and quality standards.
2nd Shift Pay $30/hour
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints to determine tooling and fixture requirements.
- Select and install the proper tooling, fixtures, and machine settings to ensure precise machining operations.
- Perform complex machining tasks, including drilling, milling, tapping, and boring, ensuring conformance to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Monitor machine performance during production runs, making necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and prevent defects.
- Inspect finished parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot CNC machine issues, including diagnosing problems related to tool wear, programming, or machine malfunctions, and performing basic machine maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency and quality.
- Document work accurately, including machine settings, inspection results, and production reports.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and operating procedures.
- Continuously improve machining processes by identifying opportunities to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC milling machines.
- Machine set-up.
- Experience with advanced CNC milling operations, including 3D contouring, threading, and multi-axis machining.
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of various machining materials (aluminum, steel, plastics, etc.) and their specific machining requirements.
