1st Shift Production Associate (Industrial)

Sigma, Inc. is hiring a 1st Shift Production Associate – Industrial to join our team in Hicksville, NY. This is a hands-on production role that involves operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following safety, quality, and food safety standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and ready to work in a team-driven environment.

• Support production by following supervisor instructions to meet daily output goals.
• Attend to the transfer process from filler to chiller.
• Move carts of production in/out of chillers and place them orderly in the WIP area.
• Align products at the Garvey table area and flip trays in chillers as needed.
• Rework products that fall below specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following the 5S Program.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Follow HACCP principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Perform other duties as assigned, including transferring to the kitchen area if required.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to work in noisy, hot, or cold environments for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active tasks (walking, standing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling).
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) during work.
• Steel-toed shoes required (composite safety shoe covers may be provided if needed).
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
