We are currently seeking a Replenishment Buyer / Demand Planner to ensure an optimal supply of inventory of specialty food products to meet customer demand.
You Will Use Your Skills And Experience To- Perform replenishment buying for perishable products within distribution.
- Run inventory usage reports and determine replenishment needs.
- Analyze inventory levels versus current order activity, trends, and market demand.
- Developing promotional and sales strategies with Gourmet Foods Buyer.
- Obtain all key information provided by vendors for each item purchased, including UPC codes, weights, pallet configurations, pack sizes, prices, deals, lead times, shipping methods, product handling requirements, promotions, and terms
- Liaise with sales teams on products, promotions, and special offerings.
- May perform other duties and participate in other projects as required by the department.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing for the manufacturing or distribution industries.
- Knowledge of gourmet and specialty food products preferred.
- Knowledge of Inventory Control procedures
- Detail orientation, strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills
- Keen problem-solving skills
- The ability to multi-task in a dynamic and busy work environment.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- A Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
