QC Document Control Inspector Morning and Night Shift
The QC Document Control Inspector is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and verifying quality control documentation to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. This role also supports production quality activities, sample collection, retention programs, and serves as a backup QC Floor Inspector when needed.
Key Responsibilities- Organize, file, scan, and maintain quality control and food safety records.
- Verify daily production documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Follow up on missing or incomplete documentation with supervisors and department leaders.
- Collect and maintain product, laboratory, and retention samples.
- Conduct daily sensory evaluations and product release activities according to established procedures.
- Perform QC floor inspections and audits to verify compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, allergen controls, sanitation, labeling, coding, and quality standards.
- Monitor production processes, line changeovers, and food safety critical control points.
- Identify, document, and report quality and food safety nonconformances.
- Assist in investigations and provide supporting evidence, including samples and photographs.
- Maintain organized QC records, retention samples, and batch documentation.
- Support food safety initiatives and exercise authority to stop production when potential food safety risks are identified.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, document control, or a related administrative role within the food industry.
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and food safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent follow-up and communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and database/spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Ability to work effectively across departments.
- Commitment to food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Morning
Shift: Monday
- Friday 7:00am - 5:30pm
Night
Shift: Monday
- Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Due to the nature of the business, schedule may vary and additional hours including weekend hours may be required.
