Diesel Technician
Hicksville, NY

Launchis seeking skilled Diesel Technicians to join an expanding team in Hicksville, NY. As a Diesel Technician with us, you'll be instrumental in maintaining and repairing our growing fleet, ensuring reliable transportation for our community. With competitive pay starting at $36.07 per hour, plus potential increases, and shifts available Monday through Friday on first or second shift, this is a fantastic opportunity to elevate your automotive career.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanic experience or recent trade school graduate
  • Proficiency in diagnostics and repairs on medium and heavy-duty engines (Cummins, Detroit, CAT, International)
  • Experience working with Heavy duty motors and transmissions (Allison AT545, 1500, 2500

    PTS, MD3060)
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools including DVOM, breakout harnesses, pinout tooling, and diagnostic tablets or laptops (Snap-on, OTC, Autel, Jpro, ET, Mitchell Pro)
  • Valid driver’s license and own set of tools
  • Excellent communication skills in English—verbal and written
  • Ability to perform standard PM services, inspections, and basic repairs
  • Commitment to safety and consistent attendance
Nice to Have

Skills:
  • Experience with electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Prior work on heavy equipment or larger vehicle fleets
  • Willingness to obtain a CDL while employed
  • Ability to run repairs on brakes, suspension, steering, and drive lines
Preferred

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or trade school certification
  • At least 3 years of hands-on mechanic experience in a related setting
  • Familiarity with heavy-duty engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
Other Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license, with willingness to pursue CDL
  • Ability to start any day upon hiring
  • Willingness to comply with DOT, DMV, and employment background checks
  • Ability to work safely with PPE and follow all safety procedures
