We are partnering with a growing company in Greensboro seeking an experienced and hands‑on Accounting Manager to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations and manage a small team of accounting professionals. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, improving processes, and supporting the continued growth of the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. While technical accounting experience is important, culture fit, attitude, and leadership approach are the top priorities for this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and mentor a team of approximately 4 accounting professionals
- Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reporting processes
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Partner cross‑functionally with operations and leadership teams to support business objectives
- Support audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency
- Utilize and support accounting functions within Great Plains ERP system
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior leadership or management experience preferred
- Experience working within an ERP system;
Great Plains experience strongly preferred - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- CPA is not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build relationships and contribute positively to company culture
