Accountant, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Accountant role based in High Point, NC. The Accountant will handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing payments, tracking accounts receivable and accounts payable, and assisting with payroll entries. The role also involves supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, generating basic financial reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.

The Accountant will collaborate with management to provide accurate financial information, respond to internal queries, and help improve financial processes and controls.

• Strong skills in general accounting, bookkeeping, and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency with accounting software and tools (e.g., Quick Books or similar), as well as Microsoft Excel and other basic office applications.
• Ability to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, invoice processing, and basic payroll support.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow summaries.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance team members.
• Ability to work on-site, collaborate with a small team, and handle sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; relevant work experience in accounting or bookkeeping is highly beneficial.
• Experience in produce, retail, or distribution environments is a plus but not required.
