Job Description & How to Apply Below

Who We Are & What We’re Building

Goodwin is building the operating and financial infrastructure for private aviation. In private aviation, brokers work directly with clients to plan trips, while operators own and fly the aircraft. Goodwin powers the workflows that connect the two every day. Our platform processes complex charter transactions, taking brokers and operators from booking through trip execution, payment, reconciliation, and settlement.

Volume is high and trips change in real time. A single transaction can carry base charter cost, federal excise tax, commissions, payment fees, incidentals, post-trip adjustments, refunds, and credits. In a fast-moving, margin-sensitive business, collecting what we are owed is core to the ability to scale.

We are founder-led, move quickly, and expect people to own outcomes rather than complete tasks.

Please Note: This is a hybrid role and requires in-office presence in our Columbus, OH headquarters.

Why This Role Exists

As Goodwin grows, so does the volume and complexity of the transactions flowing through our platform. Every trip we support results in invoices, payments, commissions, taxes, adjustments, credits, and reconciliations. You will own every dollar owed to Goodwin from the moment it becomes billable until it is collect, applied, disputed, credited, or written off.

This isn’t a passive collections role. Success is not measured in statements sent. It’s measured in cash collected, disputes resolved, accounts reconciled, and receivables reporting leadership can trust.

You will work directly with brokers, operators, Operations, Account Management, Product, and Finance to resolve trip-level balances. You need to be comfortable picking up the phone, getting a payment commitment, reconstructing account activity, pushing back on unsupported disputes, and escalating credit risk.

This role starts as a senior individual contributor role. You will personally handle collections while building the process, controls, and reporting that support a larget revenue control function as we grow.

What You’ll Own
Collections.

Goodwin’s full AR portfolio and collection strategy. A consistent cadence of calls, emails, and statements to actual decision-makers. Specific payment commitments, tracked and enforced. Undisputed balances separated from disputed ones and pursued without delay. Recommendations on credit holds, term changes, and repayment plans when accounts go sideways.

Trip-level revenue control.

A complete understanding of the economics of each trip: charter charges, FET, commissions, fees, incidentals, post-trip adjustments, refunds, credits. Reconciliation across invoices, trip records, payment activity, credit memos, and the GL. Investigation of short payments, duplicate deductions, and unsupported credits. Prompt, well-documented post-trip billing so customers have what they need to approve payment.

Cash application.

Accurate and timely application of ACH, wire, card, and platform payments. Resolution of unapplied and unidentified cash. Controls around credit memos, offsets, write-offs, and adjustments. Alignment between the AR subledger, trip records, bank activity, and the GL. Support for month-end close, bad debt analysis, reserves, and audit.

Reporting.

A credible weekly receivables report covering aging, commitments, disputes, escalations, and expected collection dates. A reliable short-term cash collection forecast. Tracking on collection performance, dispute cycle time, aging migration, and unapplied cash. Recommendations, not just status updates.

Process and systems.

One trusted source of truth for receivables. Documented collection, dispute, credit, and escalation procedures. Identification of the operational root causes behind late billing and recurring disputes. Partnership with Product and Engineering to automate manual collection and reconciliation work. Better use of Net Suite and the systems around it.
