Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support financial operations for a construction-focused environment in High Point, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing day-to-day accounting activity and maintaining accurate financial records. The position requires a hands-on Bookkeeper who can balance payables, receivables, and reconciliations while helping keep financial processes organized and up to date.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records by processing daily bookkeeping transactions and keeping account information current.

- Handle vendor invoices, prepare payments, and monitor outgoing transactions to ensure timely accounts payable activity.

- Track incoming payments, record customer transactions, and follow up on outstanding balances related to accounts receivable.

- Reconcile bank statements and internal financial records to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

- Use Quick Books to enter, review, and organize accounting data for reporting and routine financial management.

- Support bookkeeping functions tied to construction-related operations, including job-based financial tracking and record maintenance.

- Review financial entries for accuracy and completeness to help ensure dependable reporting and documentation.

- Assist with updates to accounting workflows or financial record processes when needed as part of ongoing operational support

Requirements - Proven experience performing full-cycle bookkeeping duties in a detail-focused business environment.

- Practical working knowledge of Quick Books for day-to-day accounting and financial record management.

- Experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities.

- Strong ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and on a consistent schedule.

- Familiarity with bookkeeping needs in the construction industry is preferred.

- High attention to detail with the ability to maintain organized and accurate financial data.

- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a contract assignment setting.
