OverviewThe North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks an administrative professional to provide clerical assistance to counselors and paraprofessionals in the Wilmington Unit office. The role supports personnel who assist eligible persons with disabilities in achieving identified goals.
Responsibilities- Greet visitors and callers courteously and professionally, including contact with staff, vendors, other departments and the public.
- Use a multi‑line phone system to answer and route calls to appropriate staff members.
- Prepare documents, maintain spreadsheets, input data, and complete billing processes for assigned staff.
- Receive applications from clients and obtain medical/treatment records as requested.
- Document client information, interactions, and services into the case management system throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Utilize office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet office needs.
Minimum
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED and two years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge or experience working with a team, demonstrated routine office support functions, and experience working with the public.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary range $39,244 – $68,679; recruitment range $39,244 – $49,000.
