Position: NCEdge Project Coordinator (PT)

Part‑Time Project Coordinator

The Part‑Time Project Coordinator will support the implementation and oversight of the NCEdge Customized Training Program (CTP) for Corning, Inc. Midland location and other Rowan/Cabarrus and/or surrounding areas when applicable NCEdge clients as needed. This role ensures the successful delivery of training activities by managing logistics, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining compliance with state and institutional guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee all training activities in alignment with workforce development goals.
  • Coordinate with instructors, Corning leadership, and Rowan‑Cabarrus Community College staff to ensure smooth training delivery.
  • Secure qualified trainers and manage class registrations, attendance, and evaluations.
  • Ensure facilities and materials are prepared for each training session.
  • Ensure completion of required documentation, including attendance, rosters, evaluations, and progress reports.
  • Procure and manage training materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Rowan‑Cabarrus Community College, Corning, Inc., and training participants.
  • Attend planning meetings and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records including rosters, evaluations, purchase orders, and progress reports.
  • Ensure adherence to NCCCS Customized Training Program guidelines.
  • Compile data for state and institutional reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, cost reports, and program evaluations.
  • Issue purchase orders and manage supplies, equipment, and packing lists.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Support performance measures and contribute to institutional goals.
  • Suggest enhancements to training programs to better align with company’s growth and operational needs.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in workforce development, project management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in training coordination, business planning, or project management.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and technical training (preferred).
  • CAPM or CSM Certification (Entry Project Management/Agility/Scrum) (preferred).
  • Background in budget management and data reporting (preferred).Knowledge of NCCCS Customized Training Program processes and documentation (preferred).
  • Knowledge of community college continuing education software, processes, and auditing guidelines for documentation (preferred).
  • Experience with Colleague/Banner/SharePoint/CoPilot or willingness to learn.
  • Self‑motivated, high attention to detail for scheduling and documentation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong adherence to quick communication responses.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in sharing files via secured sites such as SharePoint, Drop Box, or other.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and ability to travel within the region.
Work Hours

10–20 hours per week based on amount of training scheduled and reports due. Flexible schedule. Will require some travel to companies at the time of their training course scheduled start times to register class. May require random trips to companies to deliver/pick‑up items, meet with college director, or visit a class during session. Administrative computer/desk work time will be set during regular business hours and can be flexible.
