With 47 stores and counting, we are one of the largest chains of AAA club‑owned repair facilities in the USA. We offer a full range of automotive repair and maintenance services to AAA members and non‑members. Every AAA Car Care facility is staffed with ASE‑certified technicians who ensure that every car is treated with the utmost care.

A Day-in-the-life Of An ACG Car Care Technician

ACG Car Care Technicians complete routine scheduled maintenance service on automobiles and trucks, as directed by a manager or Service Advisor. They spend their day performing basic automotive repair, adjustments and maintenance procedures, including, but not limited to, oil changes, tire replacement & repairs, and general vehicle maintenance.

General Service Technician Responsibilities
  • Drive vehicles into service bays, prepare them for, and complete digital vehicle inspection
  • Perform general automotive maintenance and repairs
  • Test drive vehicles and prepare vehicles for delivery to customers after needed repairs and maintenance are complete
  • Keep the shop clean and organized to ensure a positive member/customer experience
  • Learn from Technician A, B, and C colleagues to further advance your career
Technician C Responsibilities
  • All General Service Technician duties plus
  • Perform automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair orders
  • Complete fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, basic repair, and maintenance services, etc.
Technician B Responsibilities
  • All Technician C duties plus
  • Work with, mentor, and train less experienced Technicians
  • Perform all Service Technician C duties plus advanced repair and maintenance services.
Technician A Responsibilities
  • All Technician B duties plus
  • Work with, mentor, and train less experienced Technicians
  • Complete electrical repairs, diagnostic repairs, drivability diagnostics, etc.
How We Reward Our Employees
  • Pay rates starting at (rate based on experience + annual bonus eligibility)
  • General Service Technician: $15 – $17 hourly
  • C Technician: $17 – $25 hourly, based on production
  • B Technician: $40,000 – $70,000+; hourly base with a weekly production bonus opportunity
  • A Technician: $65,000 – $110,000+; hourly base with a weekly production bonus opportunity

All Service Technicians Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED, or Technical school certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources; able to independently perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance of automobiles and trucks
  • Consistently demonstrate proper use of equipment and tools; maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores
Preferred General Service Technician Qualifications
  • G1‑Auto Maintenance & Light Repair preferred
  • State inspection certificate where applicable
  • AC 609 Certification
Technician C Requirements
  • All General Service Technician requirements plus
  • Minimum 6 months of relevant experience in automotive repair or completion of a formal automotive training program
Preferred C Technician Qualifications
  • All General Service Technician preferred qualifications plus
  • ASE Certifications (or equivalent). A4‑Suspension & Steering, A5‑Brakes
  • AC 609 Certification
