Position: Customer Contract Manager (Budgeting Exp Required)

Job Summary

Customer Contract Manager – responsible for owning and managing the contracts process, working proactively with Project Leads and Business Development to develop and execute contract documents with a primary focus on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain ownership of and manage the contract process to ensure timely delivery and execution consistent with standard cycle times, including coordination and finalization of contractual instruments aligned with the defined scope of work.
  • Lead the negotiation and preparation of financial and contractual terms within complex customer agreements, identifying financial risks, assessing budget impacts, and validating all contract changes to ensure alignment with internal standards.
  • Provide clear analysis and recommendations to internal stakeholders and Project Leads, proactively communicate financial and contractual issues, and engage with customers and internal teams until all terms are fully resolved and agreed upon.
  • Collaborate closely with the Pricing and Proposals teams to finalize budgets and financial models, and present financial terms to customers with a strong command of internal financial policies.
  • Effectively negotiate with customers to achieve mutually acceptable financial outcomes and proactively resolve material deviations, remaining engaged until resolution.
  • Drive quarterly contracting targets through active workload management, prioritization, and planning of delivery and execution.
  • Contribute to team effort and take self-initiative to accomplish individual targets that align with quarterly departmental goals.
  • Develop internal stakeholder relationships and work independently with Project Leads, Business Development, and customers on assigned projects.
  • Attend face‑to‑face meetings or calls with Project Leads and customers as needed to ensure timely execution of contracts.
  • Update and maintain timely records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and Contract Management System throughout the day.
  • Evaluate contracts for completeness and accuracy by comparing them to departmental guidelines, ensuring corrections are documented to deliver the highest quality document.
  • Maintain flexibility by creating and resetting priorities as needed to adhere to standard turnaround times, identifying and raising issues before they become critical.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in contract drafting, contract management, or related work within the pharmaceutical, research, or healthcare environment, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Customer‑centric, self‑motivated, proactive, and flexible in responding to job demands.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with above‑average attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously to meet critical deadlines.
  • Effective time‑management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with management guidance and oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate successfully in a team environment.

Salary

Salary Range: $79,800.00 – $ (base salary range is indicative and may vary based on qualifications, skills, and proficiency).
