Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.
Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. This temporary position is with NC DNCR – Museum of History, located at 204 East Moore Street Southport NC, Brunswick County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This announcement is for a temporary, Front Desk Visitor Services Staff position. The selected candidate for this role will serve as the initial point of contact for visitors at the North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport which is open to the public Tuesday - Saturday.
The Primary Purpose Of This Position Is To- Engage and welcome each visitor/family/or group as they enter the museum
- Ensure excellent customer service
- Promote the museum exhibits, programs, and services within the museum
- Assure that each visitor and patron has a memorable experience within a safe environment
