Position: Architectural Production Manager / Technical Lead

Location: Charlotte, NC

Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 (Based on experience and licensure)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Production Manager / Technical Lead to provide technical leadership for a well-established architectural firm. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys leading production teams, maintaining technical excellence, mentoring staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality construction documents across a variety of commercial and industrial projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing production standards, implementing QA/QC procedures, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and supporting projects from design development through construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the architectural production team.
  • Establish and maintain drawing standards, Revit templates, and documentation procedures.
  • Perform comprehensive QA/QC reviews of construction documents prior to issuance.
  • Coordinate production schedules and staffing assignments.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and firm leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Mentor and train architects, designers, and production staff.
  • Review drawings for completeness, constructability, technical accuracy, and code compliance.
  • Participate in project production and provide technical solutions to complex design challenges.
  • Coordinate with structural, civil, MEP, and specialty consultants.
  • Support permitting efforts and construction administration.
  • Drive continuous improvements in production workflows, BIM standards, and documentation quality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional architectural experience.
  • Licensed Architect preferred.
  • Extensive experience producing high-quality construction documents.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and building systems.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams and mentoring staff.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following project types would be highly beneficial:

  • Corporate Office Projects
  • Design-Build Delivery
