I am seeking an experienced Sheet metal Superintendent who is open to bring their years of experience with ductwork. Someone open to support and deliver apprenticeship, training, and new-hire bootcamp programs across multiple locations. This hands‑on role combines training delivery, program coordination, instructor development, and field support to help build a highly skilled construction workforce.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver and support apprenticeship and construction training programs.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate apprenticeship instructors to ensure compliance with NCCER standards.
- Coordinate training logistics, including schedules, travel, materials, equipment, and facility setup.
- Lead hands‑on instruction in sheet metal practices, construction fundamentals, tools, equipment, and safety.
- Support weekly New Hire Construction Bootcamp programs and assess participant readiness for field placement.
- Conduct instructor evaluations, proctor exams, and perform skills assessments.
- Maintain accurate training records, certifications, attendance, and compliance documentation within LMS and company systems.
- Partner with field leadership to continuously improve training effectiveness and workforce development programs.
- Travel extensively to jobsites and training locations (up to 75%).
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on sheet metal experience (required).
- 2–5 years of training, instruction, coaching, or workforce development experience.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal tools, practices, and industry standards.
- Experience working in construction, field operations, or travel‑intensive environments.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, and training documentation.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Education, Business, or related field preferred.
- Strong communicator and mentor with a passion for developing craft professionals.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Adaptable, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently and in the field.
- Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Up to 75% travel to jobsites, training centers, and apprenticeship locations. Vehicle Provided /Gas Card, etc.
