Lakeland Senior High School (SHS) is a thriving school community. Extracurricular programs are in abundance and after school homework classes are well attended. Lakeland SHS provides a calm and friendly atmosphere where students are encouraged to succeed and take pride in what they achieve. The school has two very successful approved Specialist Programs in Music Technology and Touch Football & Sports Science.
The major component of this role includes administering first aid and actively contributing to the wellbeing of students, staff, and volunteers, in compliance with relevant Occupational Safety and Health Legislation. The successful applicant would play a key role in student health planning and implementation, promotion, and evaluation of the school's health and wellbeing programs and frameworks. They will assist in developing strategies to reduce the risk of injury and harm.
In addition, the successful applicant would provide guidance to school staff on Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) matters. This includes maintaining accurate records related to injury, illness, incidents, accidents, and hazards, as well as conducting analysis of data and identifying trends. Excellent communication skills are vital, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively to achieve positive outcomes.

EligibilityTo work with us, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
