Job SummaryThis position has a 3‑month learning/proficiency period. As a school nutrition assistant, you will be part of an active and exciting school cafeteria team serving children and faculty Monday through Friday throughout the school year. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and will be on your feet for a good part of the shift. You are responsible for keeping the kitchen and dining area up to health department regulations and will be required to sweep, mop, and/or take out trash as needed.

Qualifications- Must love children!
- Responsible and dependable adherence to the work schedule.
- Understand what quality food and service looks like and deliver it in a polite, fun, and engaging manner.
- Internal applicants: must know how to cashier and have scored 3.0 or higher on last evaluation.
- External applicants: must proficiently cashier within 30 days of being hired.
UCPS School Nutrition Services has openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School cafeterias. The environment is fast‑paced, lively, and welcoming, with a focus on safety, quality, and service.
